Salsa is one of the fastest growing pastimes in the Uk. Attracting people from all backgrounds and abilities, salsa classes are a great way to learn to dance, enjoy a new hobby and give your social life a real boost. Classes at SalSeduce are perfect for all tastes and styles. From Absolute Beginners to Advanced dancers there is something for everyone.
SalSeduce Dance Company
is based in Newcastle and owned by
Chris Pentland
. It has grown to become the biggest weekday salsa night in the North East.
Through his SalSeduce Dance Company, Chris and his partner Megan teach, DJ and perform throughout the region and beyond, bringing their own brand of fun, experience and personality to their teaching. Their charismatic approach to each class they teach makes them very popular teachers on the North East salsa scene.

Chris has danced all over the world, having performed at some of the most prestigious UK and International salsa festivals. From the Blackpool Tower Ballroom to International festivals such as Tunisia, Malta and Cyprus salsa festivals, Chris has gained a vast amount of dance and performance experience from his travels.
The SalSeduce team has a hugely diverse dance and entertainment background. From its representation in the Sambadrome at the 2008 Rio Carnival to various TV and media appearances, SalSeduce offers an eclectic approach to teaching and performance salsa underlined by its popularity in the North East and beyond.
Salsa Nights
SalSeduce runs every Tuesday evening at the fabulous venue,
St John the Baptist Church Hall, Grainger Street, Newcastle, NE1 5JG.
Lessons are taught by Chris and Megan, and regularly they invite some of the North Easts best guest teachers along with some of the UKs biggest names in salsa such as Nicolai V - isalsa, Yersin Rivas and of course our regular fix of the UKs number 1...Mauricio Reyes - Latin Motion.
Classes start at
7:15pm
with an absolute beginners intro to salsa,
7:45pm with improvers class
, and there is a third class on offer from
8:30pm for intermediate salsa.
But the fun really starts when the doors open for
'Club Dance' at 9:15pm

SalSeduce Beginner Thursdays
Perfect for all people new to salsa. The classes take you through the basics, improve your technique and confidence, and get you dancing.
Every Thursday at
South Gosforth Social Club, Percy Terrace, Newcastle, NE3 1RS
Classes start run from
8pm to 10pm
with a little practice time after.
SalSabado Monthly Fiesta
The 2nd Saturday of the month SalSeduce brings you Newcastle's newest Saturday social. We have some of the biggest names in the business coming to entertain you with great classes and dancing through to the early hours every month.

And Finally...
Despite the common assumption that salsa is restricted to the younger generation, you'll find all ages at SalSeduce - from those in their late teens to people in their sixties and seventies....there are no barriers or limits.
You do not have to come equipped with a partner. During the classes you are encouraged to rotate partners, and the majority of people come alone or with friends.
For a lot of people attending salsa is a way to relax from the demands of everyday life. It's an activity that you can pursue seriously or as hobby - either way it's the perfect activity to help you stay fit, meet people and have a whole lot of fun you never imagined.
