The North East's Best Salsa Experience!
Over two years ago a salsa evening was formed to teach Latin America's most well known form of dance - what else could this be but salsa!
Now, well known as SalSeduce and ran by Lisa Redpath, this has become one of the North East biggest Salsa nights, it runs every Tuesday evening at
Beyond Bar, Newcastle.
Lessons are taught by some of the North East best salsa dancers and guest teachers include top
UK
salsa instructors Nicolai & Helena - Feugo Latino and Mauricio Reyes - Latin Motion. Classes start at
7pm
with a
absolute beginners intro to salsa
,
7.30-8.30pm
with
beginner / improver lesson
and
8.30-9.30pm
an
intermediate class
. But the fun really starts when the doors open for
'free dance' at 9.30pm
. Between 150 and 200 people take to the floor to enjoy this energetic partner dance until late into the night.
And despite the common assumption that salsa is restricted to the younger generation, you'll find all ages at SalSeduce - from those in their late teens to people in their sixties and seventies.
Furthermore, you do not have to come equipped with a partner. During the classes, you are encouraged to rotate partners, and the majority of people come alone or with friends and family, rather than with a significant other.
For a lot of people, attending salsa is a way to relax; to take a break from the demands of everyday life. It's an activity that you can pursue seriously or as a hobby - either way, it's the perfect activity to incorporate into your daily routine that will help you stay fit, meet people and also have fun at the same time.
