Salsa Levels: salsa dancing in newcastle, salsa classes in newcastle, dance classes

At SalSeduce we run 3 levels of Salsa.  It's important to make sure you are in the correct level for your ability to enjoy the classes and get the most our of them.

Below is a guide to the levels of dance ability to enter each class.
 
Level 1a - Absolute Beginners Class

There is no previous experience needed to enter this class.  It is aimed at complete beginners and will aim to teach you the beat and basic steps of Salsa.

Level 1b - BeginnersPlus Class

After completing the absolute beginners class and feeling comfortable with the partner hold, the rhythm/salsa beats and the basic footwork you will move into the beginnerPlus class.  
This class is designed to concentrate on a few specific moves i.e. cross body lead, introduction to basic turn patterns, ladies and men's turns and the mans lead. It will prepare you for moving up into the next class where you will begin to learn full turn patterns.   We expect you will spend 1 month developing your skills within this class before moving up a level.

Level 2a - Improver 1 Class

After spending time in the BeginnerPlus class working on the salsa fundamentals you should now be feeling comfortable with the partner hold, the rhythm/salsa beats and timing and the basic footwork, Cross Body Lead, change of places, turns for men and ladies you will move into the beginner / improver class.  
This class is designed to concentrate on more specific moves i.e. cross body lead with a turn, copas,basic turn patterns, leading and following and basic styling . It will prepare you for moving up into the next class where you will begin to learn full turn patterns.   We expect you will spend 3-5 month developing your skills within this class before moving up a level.

Level 2b - Improver 2 Class

This class is designed to run alongside the intermediate class giving dancers a better choice of attending a class closer to their ability. The class is for improvers and will build on the basic techniques previously learned. You will concentrate on patterns involving cross body lead, basic turns, change of direction and concentrate on a few specific details i.e. basic inside and outside turn patterns and an introduction to men and ladies styling. This is a great class to hone your skills before moving up to the next level. We expect you will spend 3-5 month developing your skills within this class before moving up a level.

Level 3 - Intermediate Class

After completing several months of improver classes you will move into the intermediate class.  This class is a fast paced class and designed to teach you a range of new moves and full turn patterns.  You MUST be comfortable with the cross body lead, inside and outside turns, changing places and some basic shines to entrer this level.  You will stay in this class until you are asked by the instructors to attend the intermedate plus.
